Knitty Couture is located in The Delmar Loop neighborhood, one of the most eclectic and vibrant areas of Saint Louis.
Filled with local eateries, unique boutiques and an array of diverse shops and galleries, this area of Delmar Boulevard is a popular destination for most visitors and an often frequented hang-out for St. Louisans.
The street was established in 1891, and initially was the home of the Delmar Race Track and the Delmar Garden Amusement Park.
The Loop got its name from its role as a turnaround for the streetcars to use to return to St. Louis.
The American Planning Association named the Delmar Loop in University City and St. Louis among the 10 Great Streets in America for 2007.
