Eric and I trekked over to Nevada (via plane, rental car, and a hike) about two weeks ago to visit the bristlecone pines of Great Basin National Park. Considered one of the oldest living things in the world (e.g., 4,900+ y/o), the bristlecones are a majestic sight.
