I took a peak in my yarn basket, the one beside the sofa (don’t we all have one of those?), and found, slightly hidden, four (yes, FOUR) unfinished sweaters.

At least they’re a nice array of colors, don’t you think?

This first pile of mess is a baseball raglan that was casted on pre-pregnancy (or, more than a year ago) but was set aside because I could no longer try it on for a fitting. Then just recently, I decided the fit was too large to begin with so I’ve completely ripped it out and have begun the body with fewer stitches.
DH’s sweater - Jarrett from Rowan Vintage Knits. It is technically finished but the seaming job on the sleeves was unsatisfactory so I’ve taken it out. I should give it another try.

This beautiful yellow cardigan made it halfway up the body, but despite my conscientious effort to get a precise gauge, the wool/cotton blend fooled me nonetheless, and the cardigan ended up way too large. ARGH!!! I’ll need to go back to the drawing board and make a few edits.

The pattern for this last sweater is from an old Vogue Knitting magazine. I’m a fan of the ’50s/’60s style designs in these magazines (so simple yet classic) and hope that perhaps, one day, Vogue Knitting will return to them. I’m sorry I don’t have a pic of the original picture - seems I’ve misplaced it somewhere. After near completing the sweater (seaming is all there is left to do), I decided I didn’t like it - it seemed bunchy, so the new plans are to rip and make another sweater.
You know, I just laugh at myself for being so indecisive and finicky about my knitting projects.. and yes, unfortunately, it transfers over to everything else in my life. Oh, well. Accept it and move on or shall I say, rip it out and move on.
