At the moment, I’m working on

a beanie using fingering weight. Previously, it was to be a sockhead hat, but as I was about to cut the strand and weave the ends through, I looked it over, and it didn’t look particularly appealing - a bit too long and stocking hat-ish.

So it hung out in the yarn basket while I mulled over whether to leave as is or rip back. I had already felt a tinge a guilt ripping back my Olympics project. But as some of you may know, I don’t hesitate frogging a knitted piece, even if it is out of fingering weight, knitted on US2s, and is over 14″ long. Unraveled it became.

endpaper mitts. Can you believe I forgot all about these? I found them stashed away in a little canvas tote. Apparently, they were ready for portable knitting, but as they say, out of sight, out of mind.

An afghan for a dear friend. I’ve been working on this afghan on and off for over a year and am nearing the end. It’s a wonderful piece, consisting of several strips of various designs. I’ll let you know when it’s finished!
