Thank goodness these October socks are for my mom. She has cute, little feet and legs (although I’m modeling them with my slightly bigger feet). These aren’t necessarily her colors; she tends to opt for vibrant, bright colors, but this skein of yarn has been in my stash for several years, and I simply can’t stand looking at it anymore. Mom won’t mind. Moms never complain when you gift them with something handmade.
These socks are Trekking and were knitted toe-up on US1s. The foot was worked in 2×2 ribbing all around which I find I really like because it gives a nice hug and fit for the feet.
In my attempt to continue knitting socks for family members, I’ve begun my November socks for my older brother. Because he has requested ankle socks, I will probably try to make an additional pair for my younger sister whose favorite color is blue.
