to fend off the brisk evening chill.
Don’t you just love St. Louis weather right now? The evenings have been so fantastic that we’ve been able to leave our windows open every night. If I didn’t have a knit shop to tend to, I’d spend my days lounging lazily in the park.
The summer cardi is finally completed, and I love it! It’s a challenge to find garments and patterns that fit my petite size so I’m thrilled to find that Rowan’s beautiful designs fit me well. Knitted out of Summer Tweed, Ansouis from Rowan 45 is the perfect lightweight summer cardi. Summer Tweed is a 50/50 cotton/silk blend and has next-to-nothing weight. The only modifications to the pattern was knitting the body as one piece and omitting the silly pockets in the front.

Oh, by the way, did I show you these? Eric insists we should put these on the baby as soon as he/she can fit into them.

OMG! Look at that belly! And, those little jeans are adorable. “Wah, wah, wah, I’m sooo petite! What? You’re a size 16? That’s awesome. I wish I were that normal! Pardon me while eat this one bay leaf for dinner.”
TWO bay leaves!
I am so out of the loop, or should that be out of the Loop. CONGRATULATIONS! Those baby jeans are adorable!
I am so excited for you and your husband. Did you use a pattern for those “jeans”? I would love to try to make Heru a pair. I hope you are doing well. Did you decide not to find out the baby’s gender or was he/she uncooperative?
The pattern for the jeans are found at Knitty.com and are called Blu. The size goes up to 18-24mths. Everyone who comes into the shop just loves the baby jeans. Btw, we decided not to find out the gender of the baby. It’s going to be a surprise!!
OMG! How long has it been since I saw you last, Thi? You are totally showing now! I wanted to knit the baby jeans as a gift; They are so cute!
