Little gifts for the kicking kangaroo in my kangaroo pouch:

These socks are little. Little! With each finished one, my husband would ask, “Are you sure they’re not too small?” given that they could really serve as little finger puppets (which was how Eric treated them as soon as I handed a finished sock over). “I’m sure,” I told him… at least that’s what everyone I asked told me. However, I did test them out on a few babies who willingly served as foot models, and the sizes seem about right.
Ranging in size from newborn to about 6mths, these tiny things should help keep the cute little feet warm over the winter. Worked toe-up and with 40-46 sts, I worked the socks in K1P1 ribbing, knitted about 16-20 rows after the toe shaping, and then a little longer for the cuff.
I can’t wait to see the little feet they’ll go on! Three more months to go until the big Meet & Greet!

AWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!! Babysocks!
I’m saving all my sock yarn scraps for this exact purpose (oh and for tiny mittens too :-D)
3 months - I can’t believe it!
Awww. Can’t wait to see the little person who will be pulling these socks off his/her feet in no time.
Kate, you read my mind. I’m already working on little mitts in the matching yarn. They’re so small!!!
Aww! Those socks won’t stay on. You’ll be too busy nibbling those cute little baby toes!
What a happy baby yours will be, with warm feet! Also, probably the baby with the most handknit goodies ever :). The socks are way cute. Can’t wait to meet the little guy or gal! […off to look for green washable yarn…]
If for some reason they dont fit the baby, Hectar and Sophie could probably use them.
