Are you in?

We’re gearing up for our Fall Sweater Knit Along.  Do you have your goods and pattern picked out?  Will you be ready to cast-on Sunday?  The date is Sunday, Aug. 30th, 1pm-6pm.  Everyone will be there!

I’ve been eyeing this simple cardi for two winters and with a growing belly, any cardi is much better than a fitted sweater, especially a nice slightly oversized one.  The pattern is Rowan’s Saffron from their New Shapes pattern book.

Revisions to the pattern will include working all pieces as one and the sleeves in the round to eliminate as much seaming as possible.  The sleeves will also be lengthened.  I may also omit the belt and incorporate more buttons.

I’m debating over two colors: a brown or a smoky blue.  I’m leaning towards the brown, but my indecisiveness may get the better of me.

Nice choice. I still haven’t made a cardigan–in fact, the one I started in St. Louis is just going to get frogged. C’est la vie.
