In addition to knitting, I also enjoy photography, which Eric and I take part in on occasion during our hikes on our trips, strolls in Saint Louis, or wherever we may be. One of my favorite photos is the one below, Bee in Motion, or as I like to think of it, Be in Motion.

2008 has been a busy and incredibly FUN year for us.

We started a few Knit Alongs, two of which highlighted Elizabeth Zimmermann’s classic pieces, the Pi Shawl and Baby Surprise Jacket (BSJ). We also gathered to knit afghans using Barbara Walker’s Learn to Knit Afghan.

We partnered with Nurses for Newborns Foundation to promote our Knit for Newborns Program to knit warm items for Missouri children and families. A big THANKYOU for all your donations! A Spinning Group also met once a month to spin beautiful fiber into yarn.

Knitters and crafters were invited to join us on Local Farm Trips to learn about and meet our soft, furry, gentle friends, the alpacas.

There were also events such as Worldwide Knit in Public Day (we hung out at both The Gateway Arch and The Loop) and Yarn Tastings, an evening of “tasting” a new yarn company paired with great wine and food!

And we mustn’t forget about the wonderfully fun Knitting Olympics. Two weeks of intense knitting, rewarded with good company and adorable pin cushion medals.
In addition, I had just a bit of time to knit a few things:
