Hubby and I headed over to Columbus, OH a few weeks ago to attend the TNNA Summer Show (aka, Market). We perused, met our vendors, shopped, and even had time to enjoy a great night out on the town.
I recommend Short North to anyone visiting Columbus. This short (pun not intended) stretch of road is much like The Loop here in STL; full of great shops, galleries, eateries and buzzing with people. It felt like home!
At the show, we found some great items to bring back with us, including fantastic handbags from Nomaste and T. Totes, compact and decorative needle gauges, yarn wash, and sock patterns from the wonderful Ms. Cookie A.
In particular, we came upon three yarn companies that really caught our eye. And in order to give them a proper introduction, Knitty Couture will be hosting several Yarn Tastings throughout the summer. On these evenings, attendees will be the first to play with the new yarn before they become available in the shop, as well as sample wines themed around that specific yarn.
We think the Tastings will be a lot of fun, full of knitting, socializing, and learning about the individual vendors. The first Tasting will take place in July with official details to come soon. Keep an eye out for the post since space will be limited for each Tasting!
